Competency Qualification

Our subject matter experts are available to assess your individual level of competence in a specific area of expertise. The assessment considers  resumes, examinations and interviews to determine your personal level of knowledge, skills and experience in a specific task area.

The required competencies for a specific task area are stated in a competency standard that has been developed in collaboration with an independent panel of renowned industry authorities with a combined expertise of 250 years in the pipeline industry, The Qualification Panel for the Pipeline Industry (QPPI). Competency standards are available in different levels: awareness, foundation, practitioner and expert.

Upon satisfaction of the requirements stated in the competency standard, you will receive a certificate providing evidence of your respective level of competence. All our processes and procedures for assessment have been developed in collaboration with the QPPI, acting as our Certification Board. ROSEN will issue this certificate that enables you to demonstrate your competence to your colleagues, company, and industry.

Skill Identification

For companies, concerned about the competency level of their staff, we can send in subject matter experts to perform a general assessment of staff within an organization. The assessment is a general interview with the technical management, and then individual interviews with staff. A report is then sent to the company leadership, summarizing the level of competence in the staff and recommendations where necessary. 

The detailed process is:

  Company asks ROSEN for an assessment.
  Assessment team sends company request for information about staff and structure (CVs of all staff, organizational structure, development programs, etc.).
  Assessment team assesses information.
  Assessment team sends subject matter experts into the company to interview the leadership, management, and staff.
  Assessment team then ask management and staff to complete short assessments related to their skillsets.
  Assessment team analyses interviews and assessments, and sends confidential report (all assessments are anonymous) with recommendations (e.g., learning programs for staff) where necessary on competency levels in the company.
