Fundamentals of the Management of Geohazards During Operation (CS051F)

Fundamentals of the Management of Geohazards During Operations (CS051F)

8-Hour Expert-Led Online Course: Understanding Geohazard Management in Line with ISO 20074:2019

About the Course:

This 8-hour online course provides in-depth guidance on managing geohazards affecting operational pipelines, aligning with the ISO 20074:2019 standard. Led by Andy Young, the course focuses on leveraging in-line inspection (ILI) techniques for hazard identification and assessment. These techniques offer precise measurement data to determine whether a pipeline has experienced unexpected external or operational loads. Through comparative analysis of successive inspections, participants will learn how to evaluate the activity state of geohazards and the threats they pose to pipeline integrity. ILI data also supports robust threat evaluations, including structural assessments.

The course covers a wide range of topics, including geohazard characteristics, ground conditions, and terrain analysis. By the end, participants will have a solid understanding of key terminology, principles, and methodologies necessary to protect pipelines from the potentially catastrophic impacts of geohazards.
