Overview

The combined crises of COVID-19 and the oil price crash will create major challenges for pipeline operators. There will be pressure to reduce costs and maintain reliability. Following on from the previous overview of best practice in PIMS, this session will identify some of the consequential considerations that are necessary to maintain effective and robust asset integrity management.

  • Highlight some considerations necessary to maintain asset integrity management brought about by cost saving measures 
  • Identify potential consequences to increased outsourcing and / or reallocation of roles and responsibilities.
  • Discuss safeguards to maintain robust integrity management practices.
